He was already a financial advisor - this article makes it sound like it was a new job for him that he only took up when he retired as ref, which is blatantly not the case! 86.8.252.194 15:43, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I clicked on "compulsory military service", and it brought me to the Conscription page. Looking at the map on that page, Italy does not practice conscription. Italy had compulsory military service for men until 2004. I have redirected the link to military service#Italy, which I believe gives a clearer discussion of the topic. I hope this answers your question. Rje (talk) 19:14, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
