Needs improvement for sure, but where to start?[edit]

This article definitely needs repair, but the question is where to start. The title itself is misleading, i.e. from Latin /f/ to modern null, the change is not just phonetic; it's phonemic/structural/underlying, depending on the approach taken. Unsourced peremptory declarations such as "The realization of the phoneme /f/ as a bilabial fricative [ɸ], is quite unstable" require at the very least some explication. Distinctions between allophony (/f/ → [h]) and restructuring (/f/ > /h/) are inconsistently observed. Terms (e.g. aspirate, aspiration/fricative) are used inconsistently. And much more.
