New info from Peter's wife[edit]

I've known Peter and his wife Jenny for a great many years. I spoke with her about Peter's death. He had been pace-maker dependent for ten years, due to a heart that would not beat properly. He was found parked at the side of the road, not downtown Toronto, with the engine running and his foot on the brake. Jenny spoke to a policeman and a member of the medical team that came to his aid. Autopsy showed that a lead from the Medtronic pacemaker to his heart had failed. This led to heart failure, not a heart attack. Newspapers did not interview her, preferring to go with an untrue take on his professional life. Her remarks can be found at the Toronto Star source. I wish I could make corrections to the article which suggests he was just a "failed" actor, but unfortunately this would be deemed "original material", and thus cannot appear in the article, under Wiki rules. This will have to do. JohnClarknew (talk) 16:51, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Toronto Star obituary by Knelman says his cause of death was "apparently a heart attack", which aligns with your suggestion that the newspaper did not know his cause of death with confidence. It says he died "while driving his car in downtown Toronto". I confirm that an article written in 2017 by his siblings says the cause was "heart failure", not a "heart attack", and so I changed the Wikipedia article to correspond with that. — BarrelProof (talk) 00:42, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
