COI[edit]

The article creator writer is the subject's daughter, and she has voluntarily declared her COI, albeit at the Teahouse. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 20:33, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And now on her User page. David notMD (talk) 00:53, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
AFC / NPP reviewers, I put on the connected contributor tag on the talk page. If the article has been neutralized for COI please update the tag with your "reviewed by" and date. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 17:18, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Added references[edit]

I added a couple more citations. I think this is ready to be resubmitted. Multiple independent editors how now been involved in improving this draft, and objections have been addressed. Pyrrho the Skeptic (talk) 19:55, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Death of Peter D. Welch, February 13, 2023[edit]

My father died a year ago today. I am wondering if someone could add his birth and death date to his entry.[1]https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/nytimes/name/peter-welch-obituary?id=47551550

He was born on May 19, 1928. I have a photos of sources that show his birthday, but not sure how to upload. 100.33.104.238 (talk) 21:50, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is a copy of a source in the talk page. RebeccahWelch (talk) 22:00, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Citations correction?[edit]

@Pyrrho the Skipper, while I have your ear... the Wiki article says: "Welch's paper on the "use of fast Fourier transform for the estimation of power spectra" or Welch's method, has been cited over 5,000 times and remains widely used to reduce noise caused by imperfect and finite data."

Citations now top over 13,000. https://scholar.google.com/citations?view_op=view_citation&hl=en&user=g9VrTPMAAAAJ&citation_for_view=g9VrTPMAAAAJ:u5HHmVD_uO8C

Thank you, again, for everything. He might have one final article coming out about him, as he was honored this winter. When it has a link, I will share on this page.

He was able to see and appreciate the wiki page prior to his death and I appreciate all in this community that helped make that happen.
