religious affiliation[edit]

Is the non-cited claim Corroon is "devout Catholic" supported anywhere? I did not find that claim in his biography in the county-mayor's website. I've found references that he is a Catholic. But attributing a certain level of devotion to a living person is quite subjective, and in my view, violation of WP:NPOV. That's why I shall remove it and make it a purely factual statement. Any reversal of this edit should only be done if someone has some sort of appropriate citation as to devotedness, and even then its quite sketchy since he's a living person, and is not a religious figure, but a political one. VERY IMPORTANT - Carroons Campaign[edit]

(Note to this author: spell Mayor Corroon's name right before your rant, which is void any proof.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.14.11 (talk) 03:07, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Any well meaning supporters of Corroon's run for Gov wishing to edit this page MUST adhere to WP:POV. WIkipedia must maintain a neutral point of view, its an encyclopedia.

Someone weaseled in non-citable information and ruined my citation on his religious affiliation in their zeal to promote Corroon. You will be exposed and embarrassed if edits occur purely to promote his campaign. I will forward this info to local news if it happens more. I understand that campaigners want him to be followed on social networking sites, but that is not noteworthy in an of itself, and is really a result of the campaign efforts.

Why not spend your time writing a section with neutral information taken from news articles on his run for governor, and bland facts about his platform? Good hell people. Retran (talk) 17:19, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

section on mayors staff[edit]

I am removing this section as it is not appropriate for an article on an individual. Though this individual is a mayor and does have staff, this chart of staff belongs in an article about the office of County Mayor in Salt Lake County (sort of like Mayor of Chicago), and since the office of county mayor is might not be notable enough to warrant a distinct article, this staff list could go in Salt_Lake_County,_Utah article. Either way, this table does not belong here. Have a look at the "best of" articles for living politicians, and you'll notice they typically don't include a directory of staff pertaining to their current office.
