Chicago?[edit]

Why is this part of wikiproject chicago? The article doesn't mention any Chicago connection for Peter Aykroyd (aside from the rather tenuous one that he provided the voice of Elwood Blues in a short-lived animated series). Capmango 23:41, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed. Eight years with no further effects should prove it is not related to Chicago. --سلوك Saluk 12:59, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of him being a real life Ghostbuster?[edit]

Well... "paranormal investigator" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.76.126.107 (talk) 10:47, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Birth?[edit]

This is one of the stranger cases of a date of birth not being mentioned, because apparently there isn't any mention of his DOB anywhere on the Internet?Wikidude10000 (talk) 20:36, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jonathan vs. Hugh[edit]

In IMDB his middle name appears as Hugh, here it is Jonathan. Are there any sources beside? I will change to Hugh with IMDB reference until further sources pop up. --سلوك Saluk 12:43, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Writer?[edit]

... is a Canadian actor, comedian and writer. The article doesn't mention it anywhere. There is a seemingly non-related reference to a book, written by Peter H. Aykroyd, according to library entries presumably born in 1922, maybe his father. If you believe in correctness of IMDB the father seems to be best known as P. H. Aykroyd. I cannot find a publication by a younger Peter Aykroyd. I will remove the reference to the book and writer also. --سلوك Saluk 12:43, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw he was script writer for fifth season of Saturday Night Live, I will leave the writer for this. --سلوك Saluk 12:46, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

SNL Announced Peter's Death[edit]

So, on tonight's SNL, a card was put up announcing that Aykroyd had died...can anyone find any sources? OrlandoApollosFan69 (talk) 06:05, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Death[edit]

Did he die in November 2021? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 06:05, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A memorial card appeared during the final minutes of the 20-Nov-2021 broadcast of Saturday Night Live. While this seems authoritative, I haven't yet found any other source confirming his death. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.206.87.210 (talk) 06:13, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is why we don't rush things here and wait for actual verification: https://twitter.com/VExplainer/status/1462306871298170880 I'm not sure that tweet is right either, but just wait for official verification.
