Untitled[edit]

Out of 35 PN tracks only one metal track ("La Césarienne") wasn't written by Famine. The four piano interludes on the last album were by Audrey S. but that's really minor. Therefore, writing Famine is the "main creative force" in PN is not biased.

Famine stated: "Now some people want to dispossess me of my own band, which I have been putting together for eight years, me being the one who took care of EVERYTHING since the beginning (song writing, concept, performance, lyrics, aesthetics)???" (http://diabolicalconquest.com/interviews/peste_noire_english.htm)

True: These facts confirmed by the booklets of “Macabre Trancendance…” demo : http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn370/CYFAWS/P1030200.jpg, of “Phalènes et Pestilence” demo : http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn370/CYFAWS/P1020841.jpg and of PN “demo split with SC” http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn370/CYFAWS/P1030201.jpg , as well as by the booklet of Alcest demo : http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/500/40200745/Alcest+++tristesse+hivernale.jpg ). Neige only played "Percussions", i.e drums, on the demos. Many songs used on the albums were previously on the demos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.250.125.95 (talk) 16:38, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Peste Noire is not a NSBM band as can be seen from the sourced blurb: "Famine characterizes himself and his project's ideology as a French national anarchist. Despite criticisms of being a national socialist, Famine denies the assertion and instead describes his beliefs as a fusion of nationalism and satanism.[39]" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.130.12.177 (talk) 17:38, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are endless talks about which bands are or are not NSBM, and their fans are quick to throw around red herrings to dismiss their own feelings of guilt. But wherever you draw the line and regardless of all the disinformation that Famine so eagerly (and openly) displays, he definitely is an anti-semite, and so are the lyrics to many of his songs ("La bêche et l'épée contre l'usurier" for instance, since someone will inevitably ask for sources). This is crystal clear to anyone with a good enough French level who is willing to actually read the lyrics instead of just scanning them for the usual buzzwords that more primitive NSBM bands are quick to overuse. 212.239.205.162 (talk) 08:37, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is nothing about “guilt”, it’s a simple fact that you can have nationalist views and not be a nazi, or even actually racist. A big part of the issue is people not getting this in general. With that said, regardless if it’s just being edgy or not he obviously has shitty views and I don’t see how anyone can argue that. 2607:FB91:15A8:A5D4:6D90:B4A9:4356:73D0 (talk) 18:50, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up and fix[edit]

I'm doing small, small changes that I see is noted in the article's warnings. None of this is affecting the political course or removes any important facts. Only a clean-up and non-bias fixed as you will see.Uzrname (talk) 00:26, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a white nationalist band[edit]

And should be identified as such. Lyrical themes include elite race/racism/white supremacy/ removal of other races/genocide. Please considering labeling this article with a banner or a more clear explanation that they are objectively dangerous and disgusting. 96.227.121.235 (talk) 21:31, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comments like yours just make me laugh, and no don’t agree with their views but grow up a bit. It already says they are nationalists and PN does not hide it. I’m also positive they would support Japanese nationalism or Ethiopian nationalism. 2607:FB91:15A8:A5D4:6D90:B4A9:4356:73D0 (talk) 18:45, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
