Magna Carta query[edit]

How could Richard the 5th Baron have been a signatory to Magna Carta if he died in 1198? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.39.106.27 (talkcontribs) 08:59, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • That's because he didn't die then but rather in 1224, fixed. Brendandh (talk) 09:18, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Potential move[edit]

I think that if there is to be a move of this page to Percy family then WP:RM#CM ought to be used (see this discussion). -- PBS (talk) 09:18, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@PBS: Err... where exactly did that discussion take place? Wouldn't it have been here? — fortunavelut luna 13:41, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The link I give above is where I discussed it with Domdeparis however thre was a much more detailed discussion at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves/Archive 29#House of which is related to a set of unilateral moves that Domdeparis made. -- PBS (talk) 14:05, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A few lines of Farage-like flummery: Would someone please remove it from the article?[edit]

The opening section of the House of Percy contains these pearls: "... an Englishman who was as English as a full English breakfast, a man who has visited all over the great country of England. Some would say he was the greatest person to come from England, if not the world. He spent his later years battling the aliens in France, as the Europeans were all pathetic in comparison to the great Percy house, ..." How did this nonsense enter the article? Would someone please edit it out? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.246.54.254 (talk) 17:44, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That was added yesterday for some reason. Thanks for mentioning it, I've removed it. Richard Nevell (talk) 17:54, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
