Citation 2 is incorrect[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.

Looking at Citation 2 it does not reference a people counter, it references an instrument for measuring temperature. Therefore it and the claims it is being used to justify should be removed. ~~Irisys~~

To: DAJF You have deleted 85% of the three pages I am editing: People counter, photo booth, digital signage. Most of the works you had deleted are not my works and had been there for the last few years. I have already mentioned in the talk page in Digital Signage of the problem of the page, and there major works that required to be done on it. - Please read and discuss together on that Talk page as to what needs to be done. - Somehow all the pages I am editing have been sabotage by you. Is there any psychological issue with you? - Please invite other people to review your edits. It is definitely against the spirit of Wikipedia.

- I am also working to improve the pages. You cannot make blanket removal, including old works by other people. We should make incremental changes together.

- The articles are not perfect, but I am improving on it as well. I am adding a lot of reference links, and you cannot make blanket removal on all of it.

- All my works were not copy and paste, I can swear on this. It is easy for you to make such a claim, don't use this reason to make blanket removal of my edits.

- The quality of your edits make the current pages readable. Other people, please go and read them and judge it yourself.

Perhaps, I have infringed your ego by my statement that Japanese Photo Sticker booth is junk outside Japan. If so I apologise for it. I did not mean it this way.. Please forgive me on it. DAJF has wrongly accused 'Copy and Paste' sections of People Counter wiki page from http://www.securicomllc.com/PeopleCounting.php

  If you look closely, it is the other way around.  We can see that it is more likely that Securicomllc copied directly from the old version of the wiki page.  https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.securicomllc.com/PeopleCounting.php

One final words to DAJF: Please please don't let our personal arguments ends up in 'Removal Revenge'. If you really want to improve to the quality of the pages I am editing at the same time, I can apologise and settle old issues, and we can work together. Updated required[edit]

This section is highly outdated with all the new models of people counting devices there are. Let's all work together to improve this page. I propose that we make the following changes.

Move the existing people counter information on the current wiki page to a history section of all the old models of people counter.
Update the current section with the current model and capabilities of people counter.
Expand more on the usage of people counter in retail chains, and how they should be used, and what benefits they offer to businesses.

It would be great if anyone can contribute and continue to add references to all the sections. I understand that it gets difficult with the numbers of people counter companies out there. I am continuously working on adding sources that highlight the capacity of older models of people counters and how they fail with sources. I encourage everyone to do so. Furthermore, let's all work together to make this page credible by not adding any information corporate related. I believe that many people may agree, there are a lot of links related to companies such as v-count appearing recently, in an effort to promote their own product. Let's all work together to make this page as neutral and fair for all. I believe the first way to start is by citing the claims with reliable sources. Edit request: As we are a vested interest (a thermal people counter manufacturer) we can’t make this edit ourselves, but we have a few points of contention: 1. We feel that there is an unfair mischaracterization of thermal people counters into the ‘second generation’ of counters, when this is not a recognised term in the industry – it appears to be here just to make video counters appear to be more advanced, when in reality they are simply a different way of achieving essentially the same thing. 2. Classing thermal counters as being used only from 2005 to 2011 is completely wrong – since we ourselves sell tens of thousands of thermal counters every year to this day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Irisys (talk • contribs) 16:58, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Updated required[edit]

I propose that we remove the existing section of shortcomings of people counter from our current wikipedia page as this section is no longer relevant. Many prominent people counting manufacturers have now addressed the issue with their own solution to staff counting, and video accuracy. I feel like this is no longer the problem. Over the coming days, I will be updating the technology of people counter with methods that these manufacturers are using to address the shortcomings.
