How is the family name pronounced?[edit]

I don't think the section "Personal Life/Gossip" meets standards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CBJVS (talkcontribs) 09:30, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Her collecting in Paris around 1939[edit]

It needs to be pointed out that she herself said that in Paris every day there was a queue of distressed Jewish sellers of art at her door. She claimed to have bought forty paintings for forty thousand dollars in total which were "now worth forty thousand dollars each" (at the time she said or wrote this). I can't remember the source, but it was a Guggenheim papercovered publication I had twenty-five years ago.truthordare (talk) 23:16, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the publication I mentioned above was about Kandinsky's work in the Guggenheim Museum. The reason I mention the topic of prices paid is that where items were sold under duress by Jews fleeing the Nazis the contracts of sale and the prices paid are open to challenge.80.177.213.9 (talk) 14:11, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If anyone watches this page, please note that someone started an article about the new Director of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, who is also Peggy Guggenheim's granddaughter, Karole Vail. You can contribute to the discussion here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Karol Vail. -- Ssilvers (talk) 05:34, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
