Untitled[edit]

The New City Library has the book, "Centennial History of Pearl River, New York" which mentions Muddy Creek vs. Pearl River. (Other RCLS libraries have it, too, but I think New City is the only one that lets you check it out.) -HiFiGuy 22:49, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Zeta Psi address[edit]

I think the note about the Zeta Psi frat HQ is unnecessary and non-notable. I will remove after a few weeks if there are no issues with removing it. Certainly, there is no need to have the full address. Most people in Pearl River probably don't even know it's there because they never conduct any business there. This is not a notable attribute of the town. --MMX 15:40, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Second notice; I'll delete the section referenced above if there are no objections --MMX 19:38, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Achievements[edit]

Is this section necessary? It doesn't seem to add much to the article. Any issue removing? -Pnkrockr 21:45, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is worth saving. The articles should be more than merely a gazetteer and I think the notable achievements section gives contributors the chance to add items that are truly notable for the town or hamlet. That said, I think there needs to be some floor for what is truly notable. I don't know what "Do It For the Thrill" is, or why it would be notable, so that probably should be deleted, but someone can make a case for why it should remain. That's more what I was referring to. As it stands now the Notable Achievements section isn't very notable and there isn't much explaination given. Perhaps it would be better worked into the article instead of as a list without context -Pnkrockr 14:37, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This section is inviting more senselessness with each edit. Home of The Keanes and other nonsense and new-user sandboxing is not notable. Also no one has identified what "Do It For the Thrill" is either. Removing the non-notables from this list. --MMX 14:33, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
