Photo of Shenar and Brett[edit]

I have a photo of Paul Shenar and Jeremy Brett together in the 1970s, I wanted to uplaod it to the page with the caption: "Paul Shenar photographed in the 1970s with his then-boyfriend and fellow actor Jeremy Brett." I am having trouble uploading it, as the copyright doesn't belong to me and it is not my photo. However, lots of photos on Wikipedia have been posted that are not original belonging to the user who uploaded them, so I was wondering if anyone knows how? The credit goes to a woman called Nancy Soul and can be found here: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/542191242623821154/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eagles1989 (talkcontribs) 13:01, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Homosexual?[edit]

  • What proof is there that Paul Shenar was a homosexual? One has to be very careful about making such claims. USN1977 (talk) 17:45, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The biography I read of Jeremy Brett said they had a long sexual relationship after Brett left his previous partner Gary Bond. Brett was with Shenar when he died. (92.3.98.99 (talk) 15:56, 5 May 2010 (UTC))[reply]

But there is nothing on Brett's article indicate that they were together let alone that Brett was gay. Shaneymike (talk) 21:18, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brett's article mentions his brief marriage to Anna mAssey ended after he confessed he was gay and left her for Gary Bond. (92.10.213.95 (talk) 17:25, 7 August 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Paul was gay, it was well-known. I think it's relevant to his wiki and I also think it's relevant to how he died but without citations from an RS, it must stay as it is. --78.101.209.245 (talk) 10:53, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is my opinion that Paul Shenar probably was gay but until we have some real proof I strongly agree that we leave that out here. Shaneymike (talk) 20:22, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Probably? He was a stage actor who lived in San Francisco and died of AIDS- how much more proof do you need?!? Ok, here's more proof from his most esteemed character study: "Tony, don't ever fuck me, don't you ever fuck me...". And I won't appreciate if you disregard my post and try to delete it. Wikipedia is open source and there's supposed to be a democratic debate to find consensus. If you don't like my comment, that's your right but you don't have any right to just delete it from the Talk page because it contradicts your opinion. Let's discuss.

That is not proof, that is supposition/assumption/prejudicial interpretation/synthesis/original research, none of which is acceptable here. Cite a credible third-party source, and then let's discuss. You're just showing your ignorance of Wikipedia policy regarding biographical articles: you may not make any potentially libelous claims about an individual without a reliable source. Period. Quoting dialog from a work of fiction doesn't help your argument, it only proves that you're willing to misquote or misrepresent sources. To paraphrase Cecil Adams, we don't take votes on the facts. Until you have reliable proof, anyone is free to remove any unsourced contributions that appear to violate Wikipedia policy. 12.233.146.130 (talk) 02:22, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"...from Turkish and Jewish heritage"...?[edit]

Where did you get that from? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.143.246.149 (talk) 16:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
