I can't be completely sure which Páll Bálkason Matheson referred to without actually reading his paper: Matheson, William. (1972-1974). The Pape riot and its sequal in Lewis. The Gaelic Society of Inverness xlviii. Elsewhere, I've read that there were two Páll Bálkasons—one was a grandfather of the other. So if anyone has access to the publications of the Gaelic Society of Inverness, they could look up that article and maybe improve this article and the one we've currently got on the younger Páll Bálkason.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 10:29, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
