Chet Baker & Gerry Mulligan[edit]

I am having trouble finding many accounts on the years, recording dates, and general history of the relationship between Desmond and these two men. I do know Mulligan and Desmond were basically best friends, and after Brubeck he recorded with these two most. I am just having problems finding things written on their connections to one another specifically. If anyone has material and has the time to add it, that would be much appreciated. I'll wager by not seeing you use it in all your new refs that you don't have it, so as a Paul Desmond enthusiast I do recommend to you Take Five: The Public and Private Lives of Paul Desmond, which is undoubtedly the most comprehensive tome on Paul Desmond. I have it, but clearly have not yet been extremely motivated to actively glean information from it for articles. In the index, for 'Mulligan, Gerry', there are twenty-two pages listed, which spread throughout the fairly chronological book. ¦ Reisio 17:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My goodness this bot is on a rampage. It will just be reuploaded once critical commentary catches up. Album covers are for all intents and purposes in the public domain. Wikipedia does have the policy of fair use rationale for every last image that is non-free; but my goodness. It's an image available on billions of sites globally. A silly waste of time, for all parties involved. I do not value the "contributions" of mindless bots that automate deletion tags for album covers, though i do see why they are used for other tasks. Heck, album covers are used for commercial use! We at Wikipedia use them for non-commercial use! The rationale for fair use of album covers should never be required in my opinion. Besides, what company in their right mind would contest having their album appear in an article about the subject? It boosts sales and gives them more exposure! Anyway, whatever. I'll just re-upload it once I have the time to develop a section on the specific album. Album covers are arbitrarily over-policed on this site under the guise of doing the community a service. Desmond interviewed Charlie Parker[edit]

The interview is linked in the first paragraph of Charlie Parker: Early career. Besides its interest to Parker fans and scholars, as well as a rare opportunity to hear these two altoists speaking, this interview may also offer insight into Desmond's thinking. Religion[edit]

It seems to me that we are devoting a disproportionately large amount of space to saying the that the Breitenfelds weren't necessarily Jewish. Can we trim this down to something like, "Despite speculation that they were Jewish [cite a reference], So-and-so says it's not necessarily so [another reference]"?
