Cessna Consultant[edit]

I met (that is, I saw her in passing - she had a tremendously bright and friendly smile) Patty Wagstaff while I was employed at Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas, 1965-1972. She advised the company's management on goals for converting the Cessna 150 into a limited-acrobatic-capable airplane.Raymondwinn 20:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That can't be right. Patty Wagstaff didn't start flying until the late '70s, according to the biography at her website (http://www.pattywagstaff.com/bio.html ). Anyway, she would have been a teenager then, and that was long before she was an established aerobatic pilot (mid '80s). Maybe it was Betty Skelton you saw? Thanks for the update - research has uncovered that the Cessna consultant referred to above was the equally-stunning-smile of Joyce Case, a Wichita-based aerobatics pilot, daughter of equally-renowned Wichita native Dean Case. --Spray787 (talk) 17:40, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 07:30, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Licences vs Type Rating[edit]

Would, "she has earned licenses to fly multiple classes of aircraft" be more suitable using type ratings as oppose to licences?

Close connection but no impact[edit]

I have removed the Close connection tag. Yes, one of the editors is the subject of the article, but her attempts at making major changes have been reverted, and she has been advised to work through Talk instead. David notMD (talk) 13:14, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@David notMD: Actually she has reverted the reversions (Special:Diff/880807727).
I've been looking through WP:BLPN and it seems that the consensus is that a single minor offense is not considered worthy of retention. So, I have no problem with the removal. That said, the way it's been done has not been in the spirit of consensus... more like ownership. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:59, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I restored the DUI content. If editors other than Ms. Wagstaff are of the opinion it is not relevant to the article, present that argument here. Personally, I think it is relevant because it took place at an airshow and involved driving on a runway. David notMD (talk) 03:12, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've restored the tag again and the DUI content as the subject continues to remove it without discussion here. And I've restored the birthdate as it's reliably sourced. Praxidicae (talk) 15:17, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've opened a discussion at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Patty Wagstaff. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:26, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've decided to take out the DUI content. My reasoning is further explained at the noticeboard link above. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:42, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
