Untitled[edit]

Parker Hale do still make guns - I just bought a new Paker Hale Striker air rifle. I know they make 3 air rifles - the Striker, the Phoenix and the Phoenix mkII. Not sure about other guns though.

Is the firm's name "Parker Hale" or "Parker-Hale"? I've seen it spelt and used both ways in various reference texts. --Commander Zulu 11:07, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Older catalogues seem to have Parker-Hale predominantly, e.g. this one from 1945 and this one from 1933. The modern logo fudges things by having a dot rather than a hyphen in between Parker and Hale. 303 conversions[edit]

I have tried to gather some information on the Parker Hale military 303 conversions , but not a lot out there. These were sporting 303s made from No.1 Mk3 and No4 Mk1 ex military SMLEs. Fitted with a new sporter barrel about 21 1/2" long , a new "Monte Carlo" style 2 piece stock and some had a flush fitting 5 round magazine. It's easy to dismiss these as just another sporterised 303 , but being well priced , accurate and well made they were well received.
