PAL's damaging propaganda about the gay community[edit]

I have restored the six words, directly quoted by an SPLC employee and reported in a reliable, secondary source. These words explain why PAL was designated an anti-gay hate group.

"The Southern Poverty Law Center designated Parents Action League as an anti-gay hate group for "damaging propaganda about the gay community"".

There is no consensus to remove this vital, contextual information. The argument that it is generic, and therefore does not apply, does not hold water.

The direct quote from the Star Tribune article is:

The center's Heidi Beirich said the Parents Action League was included on their hate list for "damaging propaganda about the gay community," including calling gays and lesbians "promiscuous, dysfunctional, unhealthy.

Notice the absence of equivocation. Also notice the absence of the word 'generic'. – MrX 13:01, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New PAL activity[edit]

This article talks about PAL information being presented... even as it refers to the group as dormant (which would be in keeping with the disappearance of its website.) I've not taken to the time to evaluate this potential source as an RS, but if anyone wants to run with it, there you go. --Nat Gertler (talk) 19:09, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How nice to see that our old PAL Barb is up to some new anti-LGBT activism. It may warrant a brief mention.- MrX 🖋 19:41, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New tags[edit]

Neither of the new tags (Notability, neutrality) belong there. The groups notability is shown by coverage in such national outlets as Rolling Stone and Mother Jones. The neutrality tag is a notice that there is a discussion about neutrality active on the Talk page, which is clearly not the case. I'm avoiding editing articles at this time, but I encourage other to confirm what I say and remove those tags. --Nat Gertler (talk) 21:51, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I took down both of the tags. There's no reason for keeping them up due to what you have mentioned. Alexius08 (talk) 10:53, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
