Penetration figures[edit]

Two penetration figures are questionable: "Jane's Infantry Weapons 1989-90" states 550 mm RHA penetration, which is 10% more than given here for the m/77 round. The 800 mm RHA penetration claim for the m/84 round is not credible (and without source!); I will delete the figure after this "talk" entry. The reason is that a factor of 7.2 between calibre and RHA penetration was the rule of thumb for the best shaped charges long after the 80's. I'm not aware of any 90 mm HEAT warhead with a penetration of 800 mm RHA - that's the terrain for 105+ mm warheads. Compare with the 84 mm warheads of the Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle from Sweden: It doesn't come close to 800 mm RHA. Feel free to re-insert the 800 mm RHA figure if you've got a source backing this extraordinary figure up. Lastdingo (talk) 13:55, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Found the requested source, so made a new table. BP OMowe (talk) 22:41, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
