Shouldnt it be pointed out that this chain was founded by very prominent Australian Scientologists ?

As previously mentioned the founders and owners religion should only be mentioned on the founders wiki page unless it has something to do with the funding or running of the Pancake Parlour. Religious beliefs of restaurant founders often plays a significant role in shaping the restaurant and can significantly impact the business model. That might explain why the Wikipedia page for numerous restaurants includes this information. For example;

The Chick-fil A chain was started by Christians and runs the firm by Christian standards. The In-N-Out Burger chain prints Bible verse references on products. The Al Tazaj chain sells only halal food due to religious beliefs of the owner. The Burger Ranch chain follows kosher dietary restrictions due to the religion of the owners. If Scientology has an impact on the running of this business, or had an impact on the formation of the business even if just through the personal beliefs of a founder – then that information does not need to be hidden or buried. Stating that the founders and owners religion should only be mentioned on the founders wiki page unless it has something to do with the funding or running of a restaurant is somewhat disingenuous. Those religious beliefs they displayed back in the early days may have a ripple effect through the culture of the business. though wikipedia isn't a real encyclopedia, there shouldn't be an un-encyclopedic attempt to hide information. L Ron Hubbard wouldn't like that.

I still can't find any reliable sources that link this company to Scientology. If anybody in a reliable source writes about it then it should be added to the page. But until then I'm going to remove Scientology as a category. Andrew³²⁷ 13:42, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
