Yes, he committed suicide. I'm adding this information into the article. His (very complete) biography in meristation talks about this. The information about the suicide (without much detail) is found in the last page: http://www.meristation.com/v3/des_articulo.php?pic=GEN&id=4824&idj=&idp=&tipo=art&c=1&pos=10 (I'm not including this info as an inline citation for now because I'm really in a hurry! And then this article is lacking inline citations as a whole so I better address this when I have more time... if you feel fine, you can do the inline citation for the suicide yourself.
