Change of Link[edit]

Can someone change the link from Mass media in India to Indian Media. I've set a redirect, but it would be good to change it in the direct link. ChiragPatnaik (talk) 08:08, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Guidelines for outlines[edit]

Guidelines for the development of outlines are being drafted at Wikipedia:Outlines.

Your input and feedback is welcomed and encouraged.

The "History of" section needs links![edit]

Please add some relevant links to the history section.

Links can be found in the "History of" article for this subject, in the "History of" category for this subject, or in the corresponding navigation templates. Or you could search for topics on Google - most topics turn blue when added to Wikipedia as internal links.

Orphaned references in Outline of Asia[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Outline of Asia's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Hindu":

  • From Economy of India: "Of Oxford, economics, empire, and freedom". The Hindu. 2 October 2005.
  • From Cinema of India: Maker of innovative, meaningful movies. The Hindu, 15 June 2007

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 14:51, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This has been fixed. Salamurai (talk) 19:18, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Long loading times[edit]

This article takes an extraordinarily long time to load. (I have a fast broadband connection.) I realise it's an outline article, so it isn't very long in and of itself, but it displays imported lists from other articles. Perhaps it could be broken down into smaller segments. Quick explanation of Wikipedia outlines[edit]

"Outline" is short for "hierarchical outline". There are two types of outlines: sentence outlines (like those you made in school to plan a paper), and topic outlines (like the topical synopses that professors hand out at the beginning of a college course). Outlines on Wikipedia are primarily topic outlines that serve 2 main purposes: they provide taxonomical classification of subjects showing what topics belong to a subject and how they are related to each other (via their placement in the tree structure), and as subject-based tables of contents linked to topics in the encyclopedia. The hierarchy is maintained through the use of heading levels and indented bullets. See Wikipedia:Outlines for a more in-depth explanation. The Transhumanist 23:51, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
