Renaming of the Rip Van flavor[edit]

How can they have been introduced in 1970 and Rip Van whatsit's name not been changed UNTIL the 70's? ~~sophi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sophiii (talkcontribs) 05:29, 9 april 2006 (UTC)

The product was introduced in 1970, the name was never changed until the mid 70's. The product would have been around for 5+ years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.80.10.198 (talk) 22:15, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Freezing[edit]

Hi! The image might look a little more appetising if they were frozen, without splashes of spilled bits lying around on the work surface. Kate (talk) 00:15, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I must say though, I laughed. The red ones ALWAYS leak. not sure why it's always the red, I think they're typically the first or last one in the packaging (with the extra thick border on the seam). Same for fla-vor-ice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.182.149.81 (talk) 05:21, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

I have no idea why one brand name or phrase becomes a pop culture meme and another does not but for some reason otter pops are notable. While the marketing was obviously aimed at much smaller kids I was part of a group of teenagers who associated otter pops with our partying; They were as important to the drug culture of a 1970's midwestern suburb as rolling papers. Number of flavors?[edit]

The article states there are 6 flavors, but immediately after there are 7 flavors listed. Which is correct? 172.58.35.134 (talk) 13:33, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
