Just glanced at Google Books, and the first thing to come up was not only an example of use of "Ostend Company" but included an assertion that this was the common name: "the company generally known by the title of the Ostend Company". And notwithstanding a recent edit summary, I'm not sure there's any basis for confusion: a general Google search for "Ostend Company" only turns up those words used of something that is not this company at the very bottom of the third page of results. This is just one straw in the wind, but it does suggest a relatively strong wind.
