Since Vatican II[edit]

There should probably be an additional note on the role of the Congregation since the time of the Second Vatican Council. Although it seems unfortunate to make this type of association with the Council, the plight of Christians in the Middle East since the 1960s has been almost tragic, with a severe persecution in Iraq, steep emigration in Palestine-Israel, discrimination in Egypt, Jordan and Syria, civil war in Lebanon, lack of official status in Turkey, complete absence of freedom in Saudi Arabia, religious apartheid in Iran, etc. ADM (talk) 02:14, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

meaning of title[edit]

Would it be better to say that Orientalium ecclesiarum means "Of the Eastern Churches"?--Richardson mcphillips (talk) 01:44, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
