"Four Foundations"[edit]

I've removed a couple of sentences relating to this outmoded theory. Here's what they said:

"The Four Foundations theory posits four basic "proto" horses developed with adaptations to their environment prior to domestication by humans. One, later called the "Oriental" subspecies, was a taller, slim, refined and agile animal arising in western Asia, adapted to hot, dry climates, and thought to be the progenitor of the modern oriental breeds."

I restored it, but redid the paragraph to perhaps put it into proper perspective. We can debate how much this is needed in the other articles, but when it comes to the oriental breeds, the "outmoded" theories really DO need to be discussed because they are still very widespread, even amongst those who should know better. The Turkoman horse is not extinct[edit]

The Turkoman horse is not extinct. This canard has been corrected in the main Turkoman horse page, but it persists here. Numerous peer reviewed research papers over the last ten years refer to the Turkoman and Turkoman/Akhal-Teke horse, including contemporary DNA sampling.
