Expansion[edit]

Where is the citation for the definition? An organic act is any act that creates something - not just states, but for example an agency or a program. So the "Clean Air Act" is the organic act for the SIP program, CSAPR, etc. This page needs to be expanded. Alphachimera (talk) 16:17, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Globalize template[edit]

I removed the Globalize template. There may be a good reason it was placed there and I am just missing it, but I did a couple of searches and I could not find anything to indicate that "organic act" is used in the sense that the article uses it in other countries, especially the UK, which is where the United States gets most of its legal system from. There is an article on "organic law", which has uses in several countries. There may be a different meaning to the term organic act, but that would be a matter for another article to solve, and either a disambiguation link or a disambiguation page. If there are similar laws in other countries with another name, it is still not an issue for a globalize template, in my opinion. In that case, the other name should have an article created, and this article should be incorporated into it or be linked from the main article. I request that any editor put a reason on the talk page if you wish to put the Globalize template back. You are free to ignore me, of course, and I do not plan on coming back to this article, let alone reverting it again. For that reason, if you have anything that you want me to see or reply to, please let me know on my talk page. Please realize that not everyone has your knowledge, and even if they have a similar amount of knowledge about a topic, they still may not be able to figure out your intentions. As for this specific topic, I admit that I have very little knowledge about laws, and none about comparative law by country, besides civil and common law countries. -- Kjkolb (talk) 23:58, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
