That is curious. The only "Mr Lardtree" I've found is one of the many worm characters in the video-game series Worms — but some of those notably are named after pre-existing characters or people, e.g. "Hannibal", "Samson", "Darth", "The Shatner", "Enya" (name list from a fandom site). I have not played the games myself to know whether any such nemesis of this Mr Lardtree is given to uttering "Orangelo!" — but as this blogger notes, the word (along with its variant "Horangelo") has a meaning other than fruit: "Hour of the Angelus" (The Angelus is a Catholic prayer which is said three times a day.) It’s a rare Italian name as well as a Hispanic one, and probably was originally given to babies who popped out while the Angelus bell was ringing and everyone was praying.... This has led to some controversy, as the name has been misheard as "Orangejello" thus naming a baby after food; the similar mishearing of the existing Italian names "Limongello/Lemongello" has led to a spurious claim of urban legend.
