Concierto de Aranjuez[edit]

Since when is the Concierto de Aranjuez called Orange juice?! "Aranjuez" and "Naranja" don't have much in common, at least for Spanish speakers. This is kinda unbelievable, I believe it does need citation, even in a disambiguation page. People don't just go giving serious concertos silly names. F15x28 06:12, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- I suspect whoever wrote this was motivated by the reference in the film "Brassed Off" where Concierto de Aranjuez is indeed referred to as "Concerto de Orange Juice". In this case, they use "concerto de orange juice" simply as a (humorous) mis-pronouciation that's eaier to pronouce in a yorkshire dialect than "Concierto de Aranjuez". This is the only reference that I'm aware of for this use of the term "orange juice" and I don't think it warrants a mention in the disambigation page as I don't believe it's in common usage. Speaking as a pro musician, I can confirm that this is indeed the nickname of the concierto - I'm not sure if the joke was around before Brassed off or not, but it is definitely used by a number of my musician friends. However, the joke has nothing to do with "naranjas", it's just a mispronunciation of Aranjuez. --Kick the cat 18:01, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If your wondering why I removed this, it is because this really isn't explained on the Concierto de Aranjuez article. If you could put content describing this nickname with references on the referenced article then I'd be happy to relist it here. +mt 17:27, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where did the original orange juice article go?[edit]

The last time I checked, there was a whole full-length article on actual orange juice, instead of the disambig page or the band page. What happened to it? ReluctantPhilosopher (talk) 10:49, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
