The article indicates OTSL presented the world premiere of Leoncavallo's La Boheme, but that can't be right--according to the Wikipedia article about this opera, it received its premiere at la Fenice in 1897, and Caruso, at least, recorded arias from it. Should the OTSL production be listed as an American, rather than a world, premiere? Or was it the world premiere of a particular edition? Drhoehl (talk) 19:25, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm removing the assertion completely. It clearly was not the world pemiere, a well documented fact. As for the US premiere, also untrue. It has been previously performed twice in New York – (staged) in 1960,[1] and again (in concert version) in 1971,[2], both of which pre-date the founding of OTSL.
