On a Roll (Ashley O song)On a Roll – The disambiguation page On a Roll has only two entries, On a Roll (Ashley O song) and "On a Roll", a Sugarland song from their album Bigger. Since the Ashley O song is the only subject named "On a Roll" with its own article, On a Roll (Ashley O song) should be moved to On a Roll as the primary topic.

A hatnote can be added for disambiguation if necessary. However, since Sugarland's song isn't a single, didn't chart, and isn't mentioned in the Bigger (album) article outside of the track listing, I don't think a hatnote is needed. — Newslinger talk 09:14, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Name of B-side[edit]

Is the B-side named "Right Where It Belongs" or "Right Where I Belong"?

"Right Where It Belongs" is the name of Nine Inch Nails's original song and the name used in the iTunes listing, but "Right Where I Belong" is depicted on the single cover (larger image) and used in the Spotify and Amazon listings. I'm leaning toward "Right Where I Belong" to be consistent with the cover art. — Newslinger talk 00:28, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm changing the name of the B-side to "Right Where I Belong". The article currently cites Tidal for the credits, and the Tidal listing uses "Right Where I Belong". — Newslinger talk 05:38, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's a single[edit]

This is a song that has been placed on Spotify's Today's Top Hits playlist since weeks and given a music video, artwork as well as B-side. The Hollywood Reporter, People, W Magazine and apparently even a Netflix press release characterise this as a single. So the baseless (and unsourceable) claim of this being a buzz single will be reverted.--NØ 07:51, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes but doesn't this source say that her team says both "On a Roll" and "Mother's Daughter" are promotional singles? [1] Cyrus' team would know more if a song was a promotional single or single than other websites would. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 11:25, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not necessarily. We don't favour primary sources over secondary ones when there's a plethora of the latter and just one of the former. Besides, "Mother's Daughter" is obviously a single with radio adds and everything, but the "source close to the situation" said the same thing about that. They clearly didn't know what they were talking about. "On a Roll" is a proper single with a heavy push and B-side, and there's plenty sources correctly identifying this.--NØ 11:41, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, Spotify playlists, music videos, artwork, and B-sides are all irrelevant to making a song a single. Second of all, I'm pretty sure Miley knows what she's talking about, it's her music. A few sources calling it a single doesn't mean much. I've seen multiple sources that call Taylor Swift's "Archer" a single, even when it is clearly a promo single. And there wasn't a "heavy push", I first heard about the song on Wikipedia and not much elsewhere. Billiekhalidfan (talk) 20:10, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
