The article stated that the river "rises near the borders of Novosibirsk and Omsk Oblasts."

Looking at Google maps this is impossible on 2 grounds a) The length of the river is stated at >700km but the border suggested is only about 120km from Omsk. Even with meanders a river could not be 6 times this distance. b) I followed the river in Google Maps and it tracks, with the name Om attached, to the northeast of Novosibirsk Oblast near the border with Tomsk Oblast. This is about 500km from Omsk (in a straight line) so with meanders the river could be >700km long.

I have therefore updated the article to state it "rises near the borders of Novosibirsk and Tomsk Oblasts". — Preceding unsigned comment added by MWchat (talkcontribs) 10:22, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
