Teuben (talk) 04:17, 6 August 2012 (UTC) FWIW, I spoke to Oliver a few days ago (Aug 1, 2012,during a New York concert) and he mentioned he was now working on album #61, so the current list must have some gaps in it.[reply]

Requested move 2 January 2016[edit]

Oliver "Tuku" MtukudziOliver Mtukudzi – Wikipedia does not normally have a person's nickname in the article name. All the reliable sources suggest that Oliver Mtukudzi is his commonname, so the article should be moved to Oliver Mtukudzi. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:56, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per naming conventions. If he were to go by his nickname, the article should be moved to "Tuku Mtukudzi" or something. But as the common name seems to be "Oliver Mtukudzi", the article should be moved to that. JIP | Talk 20:17, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:57, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is ridiculous[edit]

"Tuku was considered to have been Zimbabwe's most renowned and internationally recognised cultural icon of all time." I am not editing this phrase since it seems to have been there for a while, but it seems to me like total hyperbole that shouldn't be here. I am a fan of Thomas Mapfumo, the Four Brothers, and the Bhundu Boys, so I think the sentence would be inaccurate even if it ended "musical artist of the last fifty years." But "cultural icon of all time"? The Great Zimbabwe ruins? The sculptures there? Doris Lessing? Many others too, I'm sure. Please. 169.252.4.22 (talk) 23:12, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
