Birth and death dates[edit]

We have conflicting sources on her dates of birth and death. Leo Paul Meienberg says 19 August 1893 – 6 September 1974, per the IMDb bio written By "L. Paul Meienberg aka 'Cinemantrap'", and his bio at http://www.olgabaclanova.com/biography.htm. These dates put her age at 6 September 1974(1974-09-06) (aged 81) when she died.

"Olga Baclanova Is Dead at 74. Starred in Films and on Stage". New York Times. September 11, 1974. Retrieved 2014-12-10. Olga Baclanova, the Russian born stage and motion-picture actress, died Friday at Vevey, Switzerland, She was 74 years old. Miss Baclanova, a graduate of the Moscow Art Theater, came to this country in 1926 ... {{cite news}}: Cite has empty unknown parameter: |coauthors= (help) implies she was born in 1899 or 1900.

virtual-history.com says 1896. I don't know who is responsible for this site, or how reliable it is.

Find a grave also says 1896. Though I'm not sure this is the correct marker. It seems to say 1898–1976 to me.

It's perhaps not unusual for an aging actress to be tempted to shave three, four or seven years from their age, which can result in this kind of uncertainty.

Leo Paul Meienberg, you seem to have done extensive research on this person. Can you cite contemporary sources that put the New York Times obit's assertions into doubt? Wbm1058 (talk) 12:59, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

she does look like Madonna[edit]

And I found this source from the man who laughs wiki article. http://www.filmcritic.com/reviews/1928/the-man-who-laughs/ Now I know trivia like this is not supposed to be in wiki articles but can we make an exception to this in this one case? Ok I know just me saying she looks like Madonna is original research but come on this is also a sky is blue kind of thing too . . . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:You_don%27t_need_to_cite_that_the_sky_is_blue — Preceding unsigned comment added by Popish Plot (talkcontribs) 13:12, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
