Film CC-licensed?[edit]

In the "Oggy-Wan" clip, it is stated that the video is CC-licensed. However, considering that the film first received a theatrical release as opposed to being released directly to YouTube, I believe said license is incompatible. SuperFeral (talk) 18:20, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues October 2017[edit]

I've just added a couple of templates to the article, mostly relating to the plot summary. I also removed the synopsis, since it was a copyright violation taken from the trailer, and unnecessary in the Wikipedia article even if it were correctly quoted.

Currently, the only remaining section is the plot summary, which is over 1600 words. The MOS states in WP:FILMPLOT that generally plot summaries for feature films should be between 400 and 700 words, so 1600 is definitely pushing it even for an unusually structured film. The French article has more sections such as Reception, etc., so some could potentially be translated from there.

It is also written partly in first person, as if it were a narrator speaking. For example, the sentence Poor him... I wish he was never afraid of fire. Where was I now? Ah, yes. It seems like it must be a copyvio, but I don't know from where. Judging by the first person, it may have been taken from the movie itself, but I've never seen it so can't say. It also contains unencyclopaedic sentences such as Oggy saw a flower which once, I guess, bit him. Or something. I've never seen the movie, so can't do anything about it myself.

The article currently relies on only two sources, one of which is a primary source from the production company Xilam. The second is from before the release, and contains very little information. Again, the French article has more, but they're mostly written in French, so would also require a French speaker.

These are the current issues with the article to the best of my knowledge. Feel free to post any replies here.

Page protection[edit]

Hey, so I told an admin to block a SPA IP who was editing and adding fanon to articles. The SPA also added a fake voice cast to this movie and undid my revised plot (which I wrote from scratch, as the previous one was excessive in length).

Just so you know, this page was protected to prevent any other unnecessary "fanon" edits. Oggy doesn't have a Canadian voice cast, or a British voice cast. I still have no idea why people think a cast for this kind of show is plausible. --WannurSyafiqah74 (talk) 05:13, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
