Northway[edit]

I thought one of the possible reasons for the town name was a misunderstanding when someone suggested Northway. At least that's what I learned at Guy E. Rowe198.6.46.11 19:29, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From the offical website:"Why it was called Norway remains unclear. But it was not unusual for communities in Maine to take the names of cities and nations around the world." http://www.norwaymaine.com/198.6.46.11 19:33, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Residents[edit]

I made some changed to the notable residents and I wanted to explain them. I removed Miss Libby (early 20th century photographer) and Vivian Akers (famous painter) as neither of them were notable enough to have their own Wikipedia pages. My suggestion is that if they really are notable then create a page for them first and then add them here. I also noticed Hannibal Hamlin (vice president under Abraham Lincoln) had been added and then removed. Since I was taught in the 4th grade by her great great great (etc) granddaughter I checked up on it and it looks like he was from Paris, not Norway. 198.6.46.11 (talk) 17:50, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
