Other Northport, Wisconsin[edit]

There seems to be another Northport, Wisconsin in Waupaca County, just west of New London. -Acjelen 13:12, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Restaurant/ATM Mention[edit]

@Acjelen: I believe that the mention of a restaurant and ATM should be removed from the article. The information may fit better on an equivalent article on WikiVoyage (Door County maybe?). @Fondycardinals: and @Royalbroil: -- you have edited this article in the past and are closer to that part of Wisconsin than I am. Any thoughts? -- Dolotta (talk) 18:43, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure why there's an article at all. Except, of course, that I created it. Maybe there was a redline link on the Wisconsin Highway 42 article that I wanted to fix. But it's going to be a very boring article if all it has is a highway terminus and a ferry dock. You're going to take the heart and soul of Northport out if you remove the ATM and the public restroom. --Acjelen (talk) 01:35, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I actually think this is a decent article overall. There are plenty of Wisconsin location articles, like Hay Creek, Wisconsin for example, that are smaller that this one and work perfectly well. I would guess that the heart and soul of Northport is probably the ferry dock. I can think of only five ferries off the top of my head that operate in Wisconsin. -- Merrimac, Bayfield, Cassville, Washington Island, and Manitowoc. -- Dolotta (talk) 02:25, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There's not much to mention about this tiny corner of the world, so I suppose it should be kept. But it should be verified by a reliable source. I would normally comment to remove it but there isn't much potential for content. Royalbroil 02:43, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'll add a picture of the harbor to make it seem more relevant. Fondycardinals (talk) 23:39, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
