Stub tag location[edit]

I'm not understanding why the stub tag keeps being moved. GreenJoe 01:08, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stub tags usually go after the categories. This way the categories embedded in the stub tag show up after the proper categories. More, stub tags are borderline self references, and thus should be somehow isolated from the actual article. WP:AWB does this placement automatically. And why did you remove the Education programs section? Seems like core information to me in a page about a learning institution. --Qyd (talk) 01:26, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like a directory to me. GreenJoe 01:31, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No way, there were no links in that section. Its just a simple list (which would look better in prose, it's true). It could also be expanded, with endowment and locations for specific programs. Regarding stub tag placement, here's a discussion about the issue. Cheers. --Qyd (talk) 01:34, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That discussion isn't policy or even a guideline. It's only a discussion. I can't stand the line you use though. Rubs me the wrong way. GreenJoe 03:43, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Stub#Categorizing stubs is a guideline that states the same thing. That's fine about the line; I usually add it for the reason mentioned (separate article from maintenance tags), but I'm not adding it if it's deleted. --Qyd (talk) 06:14, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
