Why Such a Brief History?[edit]

Why start the history in 1996? There were ACBL national tournaments before 1996. Before the ACBL there were national tournaments in the 1930s. Certainly the current format isn't all that old but "history" ought to include the time before the current format. I would have been interested in seeing if it were true that the first few tournaments were in Asbury Park, NJ as I have heard. 65.79.173.135 (talk) 17:15, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Will in New Haven65.79.173.135 (talk) 17:15, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

'Tournament history' might not be the best title for the section - it might better be 'recent attendance records'. I believe that 1996 is the first year for which data is available from the ACBL website in its Daily Bulletin archives. If you have access to additional reliable information sources for earlier years, please feel free to use it to add more details. Having an expanded true 'tournament history' section would also be welcome. Again, feel free to add if you have the information. Newwhist (talk) 22:13, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
