This is a commendable piece on Hackforth, but it concentrates on the latter (even if be the more important) part of his career. Before this, he was long occupied in the British music publishing & entertainment scene, and made scores of records in the later 1920s & probably 1930s. Accordingly, I intend to acquire another copy of his autobiography (which I read long ago) and add material relevant to this earlier period. Bixanorak (talk) 22:30, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, it was a lift from the Independent obituary; I've had to cut the article down and rewrite from scratch! Andrew Gray (talk) 22:25, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, Andrew! It's very good now. I might just add a couple of his late 1920s song titles & make brief reference to his recording career at this period. Bixanorak (talk) 17:02, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just done that. Bixanorak (talk) 17:53, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
