Birthday[edit]

The full date 28 May 1979 was added in this series of edits by an IP who added unsourced birth dates and birth places to many articles. The editor also got the subject's gender wrong. I cannot tell whether this IP found the date at IMDb and copied it here, or whether the IP's unsourced date was later copied into IMDb from Wikipedia. Given this editor's extensive history of making up birth dates out of thin air (See User:John of Reading/28 November for a list of IPs), I suspect that the date was copied from Wikipedia to IMDb.

This full date was added to the article in January 2012, seven years ago, so it's not surprising that this date has been copied out of Wikipedia and/or IMDb onto other sites; here is an attempt to use one of them as a source for the Wikipedia article.

The year 1979 was added here in this series of edits using IMDb as the source; not a reliable source.

I think that Anozie's Tweet is a much better indication of his actual birthday: "Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes but my birthday is not until November 17th". For the year, we have a 2004 interview stating that the subject was aged 25 at the date of the interview, 22 September 2004.

Putting those two sources together, the subject's birth year has to be 1978; his 25th birthday was on 17 November 2003, about 10 months before the interview.

I'm therefore adjusting the article to use those two sources for the birth date, disregarding IMDb and any sources that may have copied the incorrect date out of Wikipedia or IMDb. -- John of Reading (talk) 10:39, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
