Comparison w/N800[edit]

The article mentions that some features were added in the N810, while some were removed. It later goes on to list some of the new features of the N810, but no mention about what, exactly was removed.

I own a N800, and as far as I can tell, the N810 has everything that the N800 does (+GPS and keyboard). Suggest either to remove the statement that some features were removed, or else to enumerate these. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hlorri (talk • contribs) 22:17, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, sort of. The N810's internal card slot wasn't removed per se, but rather changed to a soldered-on 2GB card (so they could bundle the maps for Map). The differences break down to the N810 gaining a transflective screen, keyboard and built-in GPS, losing the FM radio and swivelable camera, and replacing the twin fullsize SD slots of the N800 with an external MicroSD slot and an internal built-in soldered-on 2GB card. 32GB?[edit]

But amazon writes:

You can add up to 8 GB of memory when using Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) cards. "

hmm, this nokia site seems to agree with amazon:
"Supports cards up to 8GB. (SD cards over 2GB must be SDHC compatible.)"

32GB is correct (actually, it'll support 2TB as long as you're not using exFAT). 8GB is just what was available for Nokia to certify it with at the time. GeneralAntilles (talk) 18:36, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Successor device[edit]

Application updates?[edit]

Is it time to discuss application updates? As of a certain firmware release, all future updates provided by Nokia will be done by software only and will no longer require the firmware to be flashed. Also, Mozilla has released the Fennec browser for Maemo. The reality of time[edit]

I corrected the tense in the article. The N810 is long since discontinued, but the article spoke of it as if it were still a current product. I own a WiMAX edition, it's a cool device, but the fact I've owned it long enough for the battery to commit suicide (bulged and looked like it would pop), I'm guessing it was the right thing to do!
