First phone with predictive text?[edit]

Is there a link to confirm that information? The Nokia 3210 also had predictive text and it was released before the Nokia 7110 although it looks like the 7110 may have been announced before the 3210 from what I can see from searches but it definitely wasn't for sale when the 3210 was available Johnmcl7 (talk) 17:01, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Link to "The Matrix"[edit]

I remember a lot of my friends at the time referring to this phone as "'The Matrix' phone" because it did the slide thing. Was that a common feature/how it was sold? --Coffeelover 22:43, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LOL - The phone in the Matrix was an adapted 8110 with the spring loaded mechanism. The 7110 looked nothing like that one but had a mass produced spring mech! So lots of people thought the 7110 was in fact the 8110, which of course you now know is not :) NoUserDefined — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.52.212.129 (talk) 14:31, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Form factor[edit]

Is this phone in fact a candybar or a slider? 192.38.95.22 17:50, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I had one of these. It was my very phone cell phone (I bought it around 2000-2001). It did have a slider component, but it was a very thin piece of plastic with a built in microphone that slid, not like today's very robust sliders.

The 7160 did not have an auto slider either. I believe only the 7110 had that. Jerseycat10 (talk) 19:45, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The 7110 actually HAS a spring loaded keypad cover. I have one right here in front of me. Please somebody more used to it edit the wikipedia entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.47.17.111 (talk) 20:50, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
