Expansion[edit]

I just significantly expanded this article, adding sections about the site, descriptions, sections about the artifacts and culture of the Nodena people, illustrations, and condesnsing the multiple references to Dr. hampson, the museum and the mastodon, which all have their own articles and don't need to be mentioned 5 or 6 times apiece. Looks alright! Good work! Always nice to have some competent additions made. You wrote that there is a museum at the Nodena site. As far as I have heard the site is on private property and destroyed and the artifacts are in the Hampson Museum in Wilson. (1) Is there a second museum at the site itself? (2) And - in case you have been there - is there access to the site or former site of the village? If so, is there anything worth looking at? (3) Have you been to the Hampson museum? I am asking because I wonder where the bones of the Island 35 Mastodon (partial pelvis and femur) might be on display if they are. I have recently been to the Tipton County Museum as the mastodon was found in Tipton County, they have some mastodon bones but those were found some place else. Thanks! As for the museum, it is in Wilson and not actually at the site, I guess I need to reword that, I didn't mean to imply it was at the site. I don't think the site is open to the public, not real sure. I know the mounds that used to be there up to a hundred years ago, have been nearly flattened by farming since then, but I believe it is now protected, not sure. I stopped there(Hampson Museum) 2 years ago while on a trip to visit my daughter for Xmas. It was a day or 2 before Xmas, so I only spent and hour or so at the museum. I don't remember there being a mastadon on display, but the collection of pottery and other artifacts is very nice. I posted a few of the pics in my re-write of the article, although the 2 I used are just a drop in the bucket, they are worth going there to see. I believe they are planning on building a new, much nicer, bigger museum, sometime in the next 2 or 3 years. As for the mastadon, it coulda been there, I just may not've noticed. Article quality[edit]

I have checked the article against the B-class criteria today and found that only a few updates and fixes were needed.
