Talk:No More Victims

I have seen the movie twice and I cried both times. Some people may think that the actors were not all that great, but that's not the point here, it is about the main character Marilyn Gambrell and the students whom she helped not only graduate but help them with their crisis. That was ALOT to be said in a short amount of time (on life time). It took Ms. Gambrell 1 year to transform the students, she put her own life on hold to help these students. She suceeded and still is. I am very pleased with the program. People need to understand that students are our future and if we can't help them in their time of need, what will become of them in the future? Keep up the fantastic work!!!!

no more victims

I watched the movie 4 or 5 times and it still makes me cry every single time. I was a abused when I was younger and I know what kids go through to get past feeling like they deserve it or they brought it on themselves. I would like to get a no more victims class in my school because there are so many kids that are abused but they wont tell you. That's the big issue. You can't help the kids unless they tell you whats wrong. I just hope my school would let me put this program into my school. It would help us a lot. Mara 16 years old

No More Victims Fan & Survivor

I have watched No More Victims on the Lifetime station several times. I believe it is a great idea. I grew up in a bad enviornment too. unlike the kids in the movie, i was not a child of a parent in prison. however, i do not believe that is the only problem these days. my mom was a single mother trying to raise five kids on her own. she did not have it easy. she worked several jobs just to make ends meet. one night while she was at work the babysitter melested my sister and i. we went through therapy for it but i still believe that neither of us has completly healed. later in life my mom found someone who we all thought was a great guy. he was therefor my mom, and for all five of us kids, he was nice. after the wedding, though, everything changed. he started abusing my family. at first just verbally and emotionally, but then eventually went on to physically. i was smacked across the face once when i had braces and a kneck guard. the guard came out of the holes and tore up my mouth. i was unhealthy at that time in my life and had to depend on my parents to take care of me. i did end up graduating high school in 1999 and moving on to college. even though i am still working on college i have not givin up. i do not talk to my step-father any more and he has never seen my son. i have survived being a victim and wont allow it to happen any more. i would love to become a part of no more victims and get the program at all the schools here. sarah, vacaville ca 27
