cleanup[edit]

the grammar for this article is horrible and so I added the cleanup banner. I'll try to edit it, though im having trouble understanding what was written in the first place. ---Zachary Cohen 22:51, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I completely redid the Organization segment. So far this is only a rough version. I will add more data as the editing of the German article progresses.--RednebdniM (talk) 22:40, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo comparison[edit]

The photo compares a standard plug to an Iridium type. I think illustrating the differences with a brand new plug and a sooty, used plug may be misleading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dustyattic (talkcontribs) 04:15, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with NGK spark plugs europe[edit]

non notable subsidiary, unnecessary fork pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 07:24, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jake, thank you for your feedback. This my first post, so I hope I'm doing everything right and I'm open for any suggestions. First of all, I want to disclose, that I'm working for bmb-consult agency and I was asked to prepare this entry for NGK spark plugs europe. And secondly, the aim of this article is to show the difference between main company in Japan and its subsidary in Germany. While preparing my article, I've paid close attention, that I don't repeat the information already available and my description is made according to all wikipedia guidelines. Please let me know, if any changes need to be made. J.skolimowski (talk) 08:56, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@J.skolimowski: thanks for your explanation. As paid editor, there are certain rules that Wikipedia has in place to ensure articles are neutral and impartial. Please familiarise yourself with WP:PAID and WP:COI. In a nutshell, paid editing is strongly discouraged. Any involvement by a paid editor must be disclosed on the article's talk page and the author's page. It is also highly recommended to follow the articles for creation process instead of creating articles in main space, so that new articles can be reviewed first. In the light of this, I have merged the two articles, removing what I deem as unencyclopaedic corporate promotion or inadequately sourced. I maintain that the sources provided for the subsidiary do not pass the threshold test for individual notability. I suggest to work on the main article, following process for conflicted editors. The title NGK spark plugs europe now redirects to the parent company. Pls let me know if you have any questions about this or specifically about the paid editing or notability guidelines. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 13:57, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Jake for your help with redirecting the pages. Just to add few more words about myself - I work mostly as a journalist and not as a paid editor for wikipedia. This is actually the first time (and probably the only time), that I'm preparing that kind of article, therefore I started from reading the rules. I'll check, how it works right now with NGK article and let you know soon. Maybe we could add something more about the european subsidary and provide better sources. Hello Jake, I've added one more photo to the article, so that it looks more interesting. And I would like to ask you for an advice, would it make sense to add one more section about main products? It would be just a list of eight objects, without any commercial content. I was also thinking about replacing this big photo of the spark plugs with a standard company infobox with a logo and general information. J.skolimowski (talk) 08:20, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jake, if you have time, could you check the updated arcticle? Just wanted to be sure, that everything is ok, bestJ.skolimowski (talk) 12:29, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
