Merge?[edit]

This article should be merged into a new article (to be created soon!) titled Order of Imtiaz.

Rough equivalent[edit]

"roughly equivalent to Presidential Medal of Freedom (United States) and Order of the British Empire (United Kingdom)": I have no problem with giving rough equivalencies for context, it is helpful, but the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Order of the British Empire are widely different. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is given out only a handful of times per year (sometimes zero), where as the Order of the British Empire goes out to over a thousand people every year (in its various grades, the highest grade, GBE, is comparitively rare). I would change the article to specify Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire, but I do not know whether it is true that the Nishan-e-Imtiaz is really that rare. (If it's the opposite and there are thousands of appointees, it would be better to correct it by changing Presidential Medal of Freedom to Legion of Honour.) --145.226.30.81 (talk) 14:30, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
