Made in Japan?[edit]

This article states that the Nikon FM10 is made in Japan, yet the camera (one I just received today) is embossed "Made in Japan" on the bottom plate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.179.182.44 (talk) 00:06, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For what it is worth[edit]

My FM-10 was the most disappointing camera I have used, suffering multiple problems over less than five years, destroying many good pictures during a long trip, until finally the electronics failed and I threw it away. Also, the lens that came with it fell apart.--John Bessa (talk) 23:58, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is a real shame that Nikon released this awful camera with the classic FM/FE designation. The FM10/FE10 were poor and illconceived cameras. It causes confusion. The FM, FM2, FE and FE2 are genuine professional and classic cameras and the FM10/FE10 bear no filial relationship and in no way whatsoever are "successors" to the classic Nikon SLRs. Dont judge Nikon by this junk. Sadly for one of the worlds greatest camera manufacturers Nikon have a long history of producing naff budget mimics of their own classics, thereby smearing their own omnipotent brand image. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.241.214.154 (talk) 23:19, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
