I don't know if this is too trivial to include or not, but the telephone used in this episode is a Western Electric 202, which would have been rather out of date by the time this episode was produced. However, its compact size and ability to be easily picked up were probably factors in why it was chosen for this production.

Also, a careful look at the telephone handset shows the mouthpiece is misaligned. This is a "giveaway" that the telephone shown on the table in the living room is also the one used on the bedside table.

Finally, the sound of the ringing telephone is from a Western Electric 500 set (the standard telephone of the 1960's). The Western Electric 202 would have had a different "ring." RogerInPDX (talk) 05:06, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disambig?[edit]

Original air date.[edit]

The article notes that "Night Call" was originally to be broadcast on Friday, Nov. 22, 1963, but was postponed due to John F. Kennedy's assassination that day in Dallas. What the article does not mention is that the night it actually aired for the first time, February 7, 1964, also a Friday, coincided with the arrival of The Beatles on American soil. They flew in, of course, to the former New York International Airport, Anderson Field (better known as Idlewild Airport) in Queens, New York City. The airport had been renamed John F. Kennedy International Airport on December 24, 1963, in homage to the recently-slain president. Two nights later, of course, The Beatles played their first American television performance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" from New York, on CBS, which of course was also "The Twilight Zone's" network.98.227.181.131 (talk) 03:37, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
