Nicolaus Ioannis Vischerius[edit]

The name Nicolaus Ioannis Vischerius imho is clearly another variation of Nicolaes Visscher I. Therefore the unknown author of the map deposited in commons.wikimedia is to be identified: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Magna_Carta_Mundi_1670_(Nicolaus_Ioannis_Vischerius).jpg with Nicolaes Visscher I. In the documents already assigned to him in wikimedia there are indications that he had a second name beginning with "I". Furthermore, he also tended to Latinize his surname as Piscerius and over the years was not consistent in the signing of his works. All this suggests that the name Nicolaus Ioannis Vischerius, as well as the already documented variants of his signature should be included in the article.
What is extremely ironic about this is that if you look for the picture stored on wikimedia on Google and other websites, you will find lots of reprints, puzzles and posters of the map, but almost nowhere a reference to the author. If at all, the card is attributed to the father Claes Janszoon Visscher. Obviously I'm not the first one who looked for the author of the map, but probably the first one who could establish the connection here. ;)
Would be interesting to understand, since when these cards are put into circulation. The original is probably from 1670 and I inherited my copy on wooden plate from my grandfather. No idea where and when he bought it. Unfortunately I fear that such a research will only be possible offline.

To change the article, you will need to find a reliable source that states this. Please see WP:RS. I have searched for more information on this map and could not find anything reliable. Note, this could also be by his father, Claes Jansz. Visscher, also known as Nicolas Joannis Visscher II, or his grandfather, Nicolas Joannis Visscher. It could also be in the style of the Visscher family by an anonymous artist. Also the title appears too simple, compare other world maps, e.g.File:Claes_Janszoon_Visscher_-_Nova_Totius_Terrarum_Orbis_Geographica_Ac_Hydrographica_Tabula_Autore'.jpg.
