Make this for the book and the movie together?[edit]

This is based off of a book of the same name, so I'm thinking that this might be better served as being a dual article for the book and the movie. I'm going to post sources here for right now as I find them, as I'm slightly pressed for time. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:47, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tokyogirl79, I found this and this (only snippet view, unfortunately). I would not be opposed to combining the book and film since there is not very much to have stand-alone articles for each. Erik (talk | contribs) 14:47, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm actually surprised at the lack of RS for both the book and movie. I remember this movie being somewhat big when I was younger, so it's sort of weird to see little out there. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 14:52, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I know the feeling. :) I've tried to look further but cannot find additional coverage. I went ahead and added a film infobox based on the BFI's Film Index International film record. I think these credits are more trustworthy than IMDb. EDIT: Also, the record identifies the top five stars: Archer, Ontkean, Zegers, Chagnon, and Cuthbert. In case you want to order the names specifically. Erik (talk | contribs) 15:10, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Made some structural changes to the article. Let me know if you have any comments. Erik (talk | contribs) 15:57, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is the movie really for children in the age appropriate?[edit]

I think 6 years is something to young for this film.

Because in the movie, there are some scenes that are not suitable for children at that age. For example, the scene where the owner beating his pony with a wooden bar. Such a thing is for the age but not yet suitable, right?

Anyway, I'm German. Here in Germany it is quite ruthless with such types as the ringmaster for. He would get a high fine and a ban on animal husbandry. At the waterfront me times one have a horse beaten to death with a sledgehammer, because this is not obeyed. He now has horses ban for 5 years! Was big in the news! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Silberhorn (talkcontribs) 18:33, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
